Friday Stir Fry - What would you do?

Lottery winner

Hi, my name is Wanda and I have lottery fever.

Come on admit it, you do too. Who in their right mind would pass up the chance to become an instant millionaire. Powerball is up to 550 million!!!!! Save your breath, I know the odds are astronomical. I have a better chance of getting run over by a bus or something like that. I don't spend a lot. I do have my limits. Two tickets, that's it. I hold those tickets in my hand and daydream about what I would do with all that money.

"Hi, this is Wanda and I'm too rich to come to work. Take whatever you want from my desk. I can buy more."

"Yes, you heard me right. I'm paying cash for that Cadillac Escalade."

"Sorry landlord, it's been nice, but I'll be moving into that mansion on top of the hill."

"Son, I'm going to pay off all your bills."

And I would write and write and write. Maybe on a beach somewhere. Or a tree house.

What would you do?

  1. I dream about this all the time too. It gets me through long work hours and too-much-month-at-the-end-of-the-money syndrome.

I haven't been on a real vacation since 2007. I'm going on vacation. To the beach, probably a Sandals. I guess it depends on whether or not they allow dogs, because obviously PeeWee has to go somewhere while the construction team is building our log mansion. We have designs picked out in log home magazines. For the right amount, I'm sure they can be done in a month or two. Ah, I can't wait to enjoy my log house while everyone admires my Caribbean tan. Caribbean tans are the best.

  2. First, I would pay off and buy houses and cars for all of my family, then I would invest the rest and give a bunch to charity and....wait for it...do NOTHING for a while, then fund my professional BBQ competition team Black Betty BBQ Crew.

  3. It's absolutely worth the price of a ticket or two to enjoy the dreams for a few hours.

My dreams center on travel. Soooo many places I still want to see. Machu Picchu. Angkor Wat. India. China. Japan. I've spent a fair amount of time in Europe, but long to go back. Paris, tu me manques.

And since that kind of travel is exhausting, I'll need plenty of time to work on my Caribbean tan with Allison.
