FRIDAY STIR FRY - Don't know what to say

Candles In The Church

I can't be my usually snarky self today. Just feeling sad and angry about what happened in our town this week. For those who don't know, a horrible man kidnapped a little 10 year old girl and murdered her. Shot her in the back of the head. I don't even want to think about what he did before that. And, turns out he worked at mine and my kids old grade school. Yep, he worked with kids. Sicko. Being a lady, I won't tell you what they should do to him.

What has happened to the nice town I grew up in? It's not just what occurred this week, but violence is on the increase. Murders, rapes, drive by shootings, property damage, theft. All you people moving here and causing all this can go back to where you came from. We don't want you here. Bring back the hillbillies, farmers and friendly neighbors please.

Maybe, it's a sign of getting on in years that I want the good ole' days back.  I really just want the insanity to stop.

  1. I heard about this. It was horrendous. I'm not too much of a lady to say they need to cut him in little pieces. I'm too civilized to approve of it.

I too wish for the world to be the one I remember from my childhood. It is very stressful to watch what has happened to humanity. It has become such a poisonous thing. I wonder when the universe will get thoroughly sick of us?

    1. Thanks for you comments Dixie. I have a sign on my desk that there's no life guard in the gene pool. That's part of the problem. We are pro creating monsters.

  2. You know, I was happy and having a great day when this happened. Then I go to a luncheon the next day it is the Great grand daughter of the hostess who was killed. This lovely lady went ahead and had us over to help her get through the day. We shouldn't have to get thru the day. Enough sadness happens in a normal lifetime without something or someone like this throwing us all into a termoil and taking the life of a precious child in the wake. There is no way ot justify this madness. I always told my children to go to a teacher if they felt danger. Now what?

    1. I saw when you posted that. And our own Lisa Wells is a counselor at her school. Something like this touches everyone.

  3. Horrible things seem to be happening everywhere, but this one hit so close to home. I saw Susan post about the luncheon with the great grandmother, Lisa post about being the counselor at that school, another friend knows the grandparents, my husband knows someone who knows the murderer, and one of my high school friends is part of the little girl's family (a cousin).

  4. The family of the girl has been in Webster county for a 100 years. The killer grauated from Marshfield High School and so a small world gets smaller.

  5. I think there have always been sickos around here as the population increases we get more reports of them. I shudder to think of where I was allowed to go when I was ten. I'd never let my kids go there today.
